The colours of the evening stars

Okay, so I bought a new bike last night. A mint green cruiser. :) It's beautiful. I even bought a basket to attach to the handlebar, but that has yet to happen, but it's all good.
It's funny, because thefirst time I really rode the first bike I've owned, I promptly had my first crash. I was riding around at night, and I forgot to brake before I hit the curb that came out of nowhere. The bike stopped by smacking into the curb and throwing me onto the grass. I'm fine, save for the fact that the handlebars managed to punch me in the neck. Not cool, bike.
Erika's been prompting me to name it. An odd request, but maybe I will. No clue.
That's all the news I have to share. Hope your day is wonderful. :)

Over you, over you

Happy Father's Day. Even if you don't have a father to hug, celebrate this day. It's a good one.

No one knew me

Okay, so it's been a while since I've posted clothing, so here we go!

Well, okay then. I feel fulfilled.

Would've made for decent fiction

And, last but not least: yesterday.
Casey and I went down to Valencia to take the assessment test at COC (College of the Canyons). I aced the English portion, and if I end up taking English at all, it'll be the highest level. Math, however, was not my friend. I have to take elementary algebra. Oh, well, I never tested well for math anyway.
We then went to the mall, where we wandered around and made friends with the Yankee Candle guy. He basically harrassed us into buying lip balm, and had a whole conversation with us about ninjas. He was pretty great.
I got some stuff from Forever21 as well. A gorgeous necklace, and a cute totebag.

[PeaceLoveJoy]

Yellin' in unison: Da-da-da!

Oh, by the way, I graduated! It was pretty great. The night before was grad night. It was at Six Flags, and it was freezing. Casey came with me, and we made friends with one of the "carnies", as my mother calls them. By the way, I don't recommend Gold Rusher when it's cold enough to see your breath; your fingers will be frozen.

I'd be glad to make an exception

I need to stop avoiding Blogspot for such long stretches of time. Well, not avoiding. More like forgetting.
Regardless, I'm sorry.
And, hey, if I'm MIA for a long while again, just go to my Tumblr — they certainly don't miss me.
Yeah, I blame Tumblr for not updating my Blogger.
Huh.

Whoo-whoo-whoo!

I'm currently in class, doing non-academic things, like blogging.
You know.
It was odd, though, because I just turned around to see where one of my friends was, and the classroom was almost empty.
Is almost empty.
How peculiar.

Out of money, out of friends

Depressing lyrics, but I'm having an amazing time.
We're all sitting around in the dark, with UV bubbles all over our faces and arms and blacklights glowing away. The strobe light was on, but that was not amazing.
Of course, Casey broke out the glowsticks.
And now, here I am, at the party and on my laptop, telling you about this. It's a bit of a lull. Ish. We've got Jess taking pictures in the mirror and Casey on the floor, glowing in her bikini. Woww.
Oh, and we have whiskers. S'all good!

Learning to believe

It's been too long. But I have a good connection today! That's because I'm at Casey's. Her birthday party is tomorrow, and it promises to be entirely too fun.
So you did and didn't miss much.
Prom was last Saturday. I didn't go because of way too many reasons. But I'm a little sad that I didn't go. I'm not a prom person, but most of my favourite people went, so...
I fucked my knee up yesterday and have been limping and complaining ever since. But nothing a bag of frozen berries and music can't fix, right?
Umm....
I've listened to the most peculiar and most wonderful IM conversation ever.
I've gone to a show and found the absolute most gawjus lead singer to have ever walked this earth.
I've discovered that playing Bioshock on your laptop at school will draw the attention of cute boys.
And I've gone all OCD. In a good way. Ish.
So not too much, right?

Hold on to the feeling

I'm watching "Oprah", and the cast of "Glee" is on. This makes me happy, because I am absolutely a Gleek. You have no idea. I adore that show.
And that's all I have to post right now. ::

I will turn my rooftop inside-out

The window in my room is wide open, and I can hear the birds singing, and the people across the street using those crazy party-horn-things. You know, the ones that roll out when you use them. It made me smile, of course.
I'm procrastinating. You have no idea. I have until Monday to complete six missing Trig assignments and a 100-question extra credit for my environmental science class. And, needless to say, I'm starting it all around eight tomorrow. I'll be done by eleven, because I'm a wizard.
So Micaela's coming over sometime today. I'm dreading it, I have to be honest. I love the kid, but she's just wayy too much. And she's going to be here for a full week. No, wait, longer. Oh, Fates, you mock me, don't you?
Ugh.
The face of my tormentor:
Well, that's all for now. Wish me luck!

June Gloom

The Like is pretty amazing. Just thought you should know.
Spring break this week — it's about time! I thought senior year was supposed to be the easiest one! My mom lied to me. I'm currently failing Trig (on paper, at least. I technically have a D), and I have so much due in four other classes. It's ridiculous.
Anyway.
I spent today with Casey, and it was pretty awesome. We went to Apollo Park (which may become a regular thing) and made fools of ourselves at the playgrounds. My all-time favourite thing is there: it's this crazy orbital spinny thing. It's amazing. :)
We then watched Taking Woodstock. I am madly in love with Demetri Martin. I want him.
And after that, we made pancakes. Mine looked the weirdest, but they tasted the best. Like sunshine dust!
This post seems weird to me, and it may seem odd to you. I'm just really hyper. That happens.
Anyway, it's Tuesday. It says Wednesday, but it's going to be Tuesday till I go to sleep. And you know what that means. I mean, I sure hope you remember!

I love you 5. :)

Sorry it's been so long.
Gah, I am way too used to typing that. But I had some decent-ish reasons. Well, one at least. But it was just a weekend. The rest of it was a terrible Internet connection. My mom keeps telling me to use the computer in the living room, but my laptop is my new default. I can't possibly not use it.
So currently, I'm in my mom's room, watching my cat glare at me. Gosh, sorry I woke you up with my typing, Angel.
There is some stuff to catch up on, but just a bit.
I ultimately decided that I'm not going to go to prom. Instead, I'm saving the money and going to a Renaissance Faire next month. I feel like it's a little nerdy, but I'm kind of psyched about it. So what does that say about me?
Last weekend, we went "camping." We actually stayed in a cabin, which wasn't far from a general store, a restaurant, and an arcade. Real wilderness, if you ask me. But it was amazing. Lots of laughter, lots of questioning looks. But Casey and I are used to it, and thus, we are immune.
We're going thrifting soon, but not soon enough — not till May. But I can't wait for May. Grad night, graduation, thrifting; it's all going to be amazing.
Well, there's my...how long? Whatever, that's my review.

The one who so confused

So I've decided that I would love to be an urban explorer. Or just an explorer in general. I see pictures of these beautifully abandoned places, and I just want to be there to see it for myself. I see these ancient monuments, and I want nothing more than to see them with my own two eyes.
I may want to live in the flowers of the world (my ideal home would have yellow walls with white trim and a lush, overgrown garden) but I want to explore the grit and the secrets.
One of the things I most want to see is the underground city of Edinburgh. Of course, part of that is that I just want to go to Scotland, but I really do want to explore underground cities.
I'd love to take two years off between my Bachelor's and Master's degrees to explore the world.
Casey wants to do freelance photography in the Peace Corps, but I just want to explore things we forgot in our collective memory.
It sounds kind of amazing, too.

She was a star in Monaco

That show I was talking about? The 100 Monkeys show? Cancelled. The Fire Marshal nixed it due to something about fire extinguishers. But it ended up being okay, cause Casey and I traversed through the wilderness to a liquor store about a block away to buy candy and snacks. She then spent the night at my house, where we stayed up till about one just looking at failblog-esque sites, and then ended up going to bed around three. I did, at least.
Today, we went on a movie outing. We saw Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs (an adorable movie. Steve.) and New Moon. It was kind of like insult to injury, seeing Rathbone in the film when we could have seen him at the show.
And that is all I will say about that movie. I might make make Twilight-the-movie-ers upset.
We did lots of wandering, left sweet sentiments in Carl's Jr., and got ice cream even though the weather was ridiculously cold.
She's spending another night, and she's using my mom's new laptop. For a long while, we were looking at the same site on seperate computers. Yes, apparently, we're those people.
Sorry if this post seems a bit odd. It does to me, at least. I'm pretty giddy on laughter.

No doubt in my mind where you belong

This weekend was nothing less than amazing.
Friday, I spent a few hours at Jessi's (Erika's friend) birthday party. That was pretty wildly awesome. There was sushi (handmade, handmade! Haha), dancing, one of those spinning coloured lights, the Time Warp, and awesome human beings. I have to be very frank here, the guy Casey and I more-or-less adopted was pretty cute. Just stating facts here. Haha.
Erika taugh this guy, Diego, to dance, and I swear there was a little flirting. Latent, but nonetheless. So I have this bet going... But it's a long-ish story.
Anyway, on Monday, Casey came over and we spent the whole day in a state of utter joy and silliness. From the waterlogged playground with giant yellow-brown puddles beneath the swings, to baking cookies to "Eye of the Tiger" and "Half-Breed", to attempting to do kid workouts and getting totally confused, to filming bizarre videos... It was pretty wonderful!
Today was a dull Tuesday. Meh.
Anyway, hope your three-day weekend was a good one!

All I wanna do is swing in the trees

It's Wednesday, and I'm finally blogging. Hmm.
Here's yesterday's item:

Anyway, I'm just full of plans recently.
This Friday, I'm going to a birthday party, which promises to be monsterously fun. I invited Casey along, so it'll be even more fun. :)
I'm going to a show next Friday. They're called 100 Monkeys, and their stuff is kind of funky, but I think it's pretty neat as well. You can check them out here.
As you can tell, I'm full of boredom. It's actually sleepiness.
G'night!

You say oh-oh, oh-oh

So, I'm watching Whip It, my new favourite movie, of all time. That and (500) Days of Summer. Best. Flicks. Ever.
Anyway.
So I did my speech on Thursday, and I'm amazed that it didn't suck. I was shaking a little, my voice was trembling, but I got a 4 out of 5. :)
The best part: I wrote the whole thing in third period and presented it in fourth. I had Casey send me quotes and interesting facts, and I've gotta say, she definitely made my speech rock. And she sent some amazing facts. Did you know that when the starting band was late (stuck in traffic), one of the hog farmers led the crowd in yoga? Silly hippies. :D
Erika and I spent half of Friday sifting through these crazy catalogues and circling and starring and heart-ing the things we wanted. It was wonderful.
Well, that's all for now!

Open up your folding chair next to me

So I've made absolutely no headway on my speech, my niece came in and tried to destroy my room this weekend, and I spent an unhealthy amount of time reading.
Oh, and my Internet is back. I hope!
Anyway, I think I found my Halloween costume already. If you've even seen The Scarlet Empress, it'd be the white army costume she wears toward the end. If you haven't seen it, then you need to change it. It's a gorgeous flick.
Well, happy Monday!

Most folks think they'll hit the surface

Remember the good ol' days when I posted just about every day, which turned into once a week?

Don't mind me, I'm just being weird.
Nothing much to report on.
Wednesday, I chilled with Casey at It's a Grind, which is basically becoming our Wednesday thing. We gossiped and planned next year (Erika, you are not bringing your queen-sized bed — it'll eat my twin!) and enjoyed the amazing service. Nothing says "good day" like service with a smile. A hot smile. :)
We then went to Wal-Mart, where we played with the toys. Because we are mature teenage girls, we had a Light-Sabre war, and played catch with this nifty thing called a Sky Ball, and wandered around with those giant toy microphones.
And I spent all of English yesterday winning at Apples to Apples. Just so you know, there are five cards that will win regardless of anything: ninja, Fidel Castro, pirate, the blank card, and My Family. The ideal hand would have all of these. :D
Other than that, not much. Meh.
By the way, since I have basically no Internet connection on my laptop, and I kind of hate the computer in the living room, I'm thinking that entries will be few and far between.
Oh, before I forget, I'm doing a speech on Tuesday, about How to Recreate Woodstock. It's going to be amazing, full of pictures and whatnot. Can't wait! Ish.

I've got to show, show, show you

So it's been a pretty wonderful week. I got two days off due to weather, and the fact that my mom absolutely HATES driving in the rain. She completely hates it.
I've been procratinating tackling my mountain of homework. But this is nothing new. It'll all be done tonight for sure. :)
My Internet connection on my laptop has been wonky at best, but that's okay. I basically spent the week playing Sims 3, reading Pretties, and listening to the CD I got the other night. Monster Monster by The Almost. It's pretty amazing.
Well, that's my week in a nutshell. I'm hoping this week will either be as chill, or a million times more exciting.

You're rougly six feet tall

So just look on the bright side!
So...
We talked about Haiti the other day in Government, and one girl actually burst into tears. It was terrible. One particular shot actually got to me. It's horrendous what happened, and it's even worse what some imbiciles have felt the need to say. This means you, Pat Roberson. You need to be punched in the face.
Other than that, life's as good as it ever is. It was a long week this week, but mostly because I wasn't used to being conscious before noon. But it was a week full of fun stuff, gossip especially. One girl in my English class actually started giving people wedding invitations. She's seventeen. Pregnancy, marriage, real careers. It's crazy. We're just kids!
I'm gathering as much scholarship information as I possibly could, but I'm starting to feel a bit pessimistic. How can I get any money when so many other people are doing the same exact thing??
But regardless, I'm optimistic.
It's raining, and I'm wildly happy. I can't wait for spring. :)
And, in addition to that, my mom recorded Good Burger. If you remeber that Nick show from the 90s, All That, you'll remember this. I'm soso happy.

Blue lips, blue veins

I'm not done with my room, but I've made a freaking ton of progress. It's wild. And I've also decided that I shouldn't be so scared of bugs... I mean, I shouldn't be so scared of bugs when there are things nearby that I can use to squish 'em. I am the Bringer of Death of Creepy Crawlies. Yeah, I don't like bugs.
Well, anyway, enjoy today's secret.

Take me over

So, I'm cleaning my room. For most people, this is nothing, but for me, it's quite the undertaking for me. My room was an absolute disaster area. I choose to believe that my niece ruined it.
Anyway, I think I'll post a picture from Ventura, since I'm looking for absolutely any way to stall.
Oh, and here's Maui the mini horse. She was so, so, ridiculously soft. :)Well, I'm off to procrastinate some more.

Two drifters off to see the world

Okay, okay, I said I wasn't going to post anytime soon, and I have to say that that was a lie. ;)
Actually, I do have something interesting to write about.
We went to Ventura today. It was so amazing. We walked down the pier, drew pictures in the sound, acted like losers at a very dangerous playground, and got In-N-Out at the end of the night.
I'm uploading some pictures to Flickr, if you're curious. So go on and check 'em out!
[PeaceLoveJoy]

Even if it leads nowhere

So.
2009 was an amazing year. There's no doubt about that. It wasn't entirely flawless, of course, but that's okay. Ish.
Third year in a row where I didn't get the guy. One guy in particular, the same guy for the past few years, who shall remain nameless. But that's only because I'm superstitious. I don't want to say anything yet because I don't want to ruin it, you know? It's positively ridiculous. Not the good kind. Ehh.
But this year is going to be different. I don't know how, but I will.
Peace, love, luck, and joy for 2010. :)
